As mentioned in the latest post, I am quite fond of chess. Fond enough so I have had in my mind this project for a solid 15 years now... That represents quite a few sketches crafting this toy-world. I have tried to give up this project a few times as it's a bit insane and tough to create. It keeps coming back whenever I draw for fun.
The original idea is to draw a game of chess for what it is : a tactical war. Now let's imagine that each piece from the game was giant-sized compared to human. The humans in this war would have to survive through the conflict while playing the game through the giants.
I have come up with a few different beta versions including a webtoon... Eventually, a Comic Book, or a Graphic Novel if you will, for children from 10 years old will be the final form.
Besides, a great news recently came up as the CNL (Centre National du Livre) has advocated me some help to carry out my project. I am so glad about that.
So I am not sure what are the next steps but I will just keep going and sharing my work here and there. I really want to get this book done someday.
